Music Current is an annual contemporary music festival produced by Dublin Sound Lab. The festival offers Dublin audiences a showcase of contemporary Irish electronic music and new international repertoire, and includes a participation strand for composers to take part in masterclasses, discussions, collaborations and performances. Music Current is produced in collaboration with the Contemporary Music Centre and supported by the Arts Council, Dublin City Council and Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. To learn about upcoming projects, please subscribe to Dublin Sound Lab's mailing list, or follow us on social media.
Music Current Connects
Or if you would like to meet us in person, please join us for Music Current Connects, an informal networking event aimed at audiences, composers, and musicians who are invited to join the festival team for discussions after each concert. If you're a composer, you can pitch ideas to Dublin Sound Lab; if you're a performer, you can initiate collaborations; if you're a concert-goer, you can discuss the evening's music with the festival composers. Everyone is invited to come along and meet up with the festival team after the show. No ticket required, just come along and introduce yourself or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
